Using STIRRI® V4-TF™ is straightforward:

Ensure the soldering surfaces are ready for flux application.

2. Apply the tacky flux.
Use an appropriate dispensing method, including time/pressure, positive displacement, stencil printing, or jetting.

3. Position components and solder.
The tacky formulation helps hold components in position while promoting effective solder wetting.

4. Follow the required thermal profile.
Use an appropriate reflow or rework profile. V4-TF supports up to 250°C reflow and 450°C hot-air rework.

5. Allow full thermal activation.
Provide sufficient time and heat for the HX-Booster™ system to activate correctly.

6. Inspect the assembly.
Use the Visual QC-Aid™ under UV light where appropriate to assist residue inspection.

7. Clean before conformal coating.
Although V4-TF is a no-clean flux, cleaning is highly recommended before applying conformal coatings to promote proper surface adhesion.

Important Process Note: Because HX-Booster™ augments halogens, raw or insufficiently activated flux residue may temporarily exhibit conductivity. Proper thermal activation or a standard post-solder cleaning process resolves this condition.
