Smart Home Compatibility

Hydro ONE is built on the Zigbee 3.0 standard and can integrate with compatible Zigbee platforms. SONOFF also supports integration with Apple Home through a Matter Bridge. Compatible third-party ecosystem functions depend on the required gateway, bridge or integration method. For Home Assistant ZHA, SONOFF currently specifies that a script is required for Hydro ONE.

Important Installation and Compatibility Notes

• SWV-ZFE is the BSP version: It uses G3/4-14 BSP threading and is intended for regions using the BSP standard.
• Do not reverse the water flow direction: Install the inlet and outlet according to the installation instructions.
• Not recommended for drinking water: SONOFF states that the SWV is mainly designed for garden irrigation with tap water.
• Flow measurement: For accurate flow measurement, SONOFF recommends vertical installation because horizontal installation can increase measurement error.
• Gateway requirements: Remote Zigbee features require a compatible Zigbee gateway or coordinator; proximity mode provides nearby control without relying on the gateway.
