SMLIGHT SLZB-06p7 Zigbee 3.0 Adapter
The SMLIGHT SLZB-06p7 is a network-connected Zigbee 3.0 adapter designed for smart home and automation systems. It uses the Texas Instruments CC2652P7 Zigbee/Thread radio and an ESP32 controller, allowing the adapter to operate over Ethernet, USB or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It can also be powered through IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or USB Type-C.
Flexible Zigbee Connectivity
The SLZB-06p7 can be used as a Zigbee coordinator or router and supports Zigbee-to-Ethernet, Zigbee-to-USB and Zigbee-to-Wi-Fi operation. Its network-based design lets you position the coordinator away from the Home Assistant or automation server, which can be useful when the best Zigbee radio location is different from the server location.
CC2652P7 Zigbee Radio
At the heart of the SLZB-06p7 is the Texas Instruments CC2652P7 radio chip. SMLIGHT specifies a radio output gain of up to +20 dB and supplies an external +5 dB Zigbee antenna. The combination is designed to provide a strong and reliable radio link for Zigbee installations.
Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB and PoE

- USB: USB Type-C connection for control and USB operating mode.
- PoE: IEEE 802.3af, 48 V active PoE support.

Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA
The SLZB-06p7 is designed to work with popular open smart-home platforms. It supports Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant's ZHA integration, and SMLIGHT also documents Thread and Matter-over-Thread operation. The device is pre-flashed and can be managed through its web interface.
Remote Firmware Updates
The SLZB-06p7 supports remote firmware updates for its Zigbee radio and ESP32 controller through the device interface. This is useful when the adapter is installed in a location that is not convenient to access physically.
Installation and Mounting
The compact adapter can be installed on a wall or other suitable surface using the supplied mounting hardware or adhesive pads. The external antenna is designed for flexible placement, while the network connection allows the coordinator to be positioned where Zigbee coverage is most suitable.
Device Capacity
SMLIGHT's current SLZB series documentation lists the SLZB-06p7 for up to 300 connected Zigbee end devices. Actual network size and performance depend on the Zigbee firmware, coordinator configuration, routers, device types and overall network design.

Important Compatibility Note
The SLZB-06p7 is a single-radio Zigbee/Thread device. Zigbee and Thread are selectable operating functions rather than two independent radios running simultaneously. For a typical Zigbee smart-home installation, it can be used with Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA. Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA configuration requirements depend on the software version and selected operating mode.
