Product description
The ESP8684 WiFi module is newest member of the ESP family based on the new ESP32-C2 core. It is an embedded wireless microcontroller module designed for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It boasts high cost performance and low power consumption, making it ideal for use in smart grid, building automation, security, smart home, and other similar applications.
The ESP32-C2 is intended as a replacemt to the original ESP-12E and ESP12-F modules packing many improvements over the previous chips.
This module features the ESP32-C2, an industry-leading RISC-V 32-bit single-core processor that supports a main frequency of up to 120 MHz and 4MB Flash. The module also has a small package size and an on-board PCB antenna. Additionally, it is pin-compatible with the ESP-12E and ESP-12F modules and features many improvements over the ESP8266. This includes Bluetooth, extra GPIO, improved 12-bit ADCs (up to 6 channels), I2S, PWM and more.
The ESP32-C2 module supports the standard IEEE802.11 B / g / N protocol as well as Bluetooth 5.0 (Bluetooth LE) and Bluetooth mesh. Users can leverage this module to add Bluetooth and networking capabilities to existing devices or build custom IoT Devices.
There is now support for this module within Arduino, Tasmota and ESPHome (esp-idf backend).
